Position Profile

POSITION: Driver/Delivery

REPORTS TO: Production Manager
NAME: Ron Demone

Position Summary:
Provides a variety of delivery services to Lighthouse Publishing including the delivery of the newspapers to the appropriate destinations.

Position Responsibilities:
1. Delivers the newspapers to the appropriate destinations in a timely manner.
2. Picks up materials and supplies as required including grocery items.
3. Runs the letter press
4. Ensures that building maintenance is provided as necessary.
5. Delivers garbage and other products to the dump.
6. Removes the finished printed materials off the press.
7. Responsible for various odd jobs and tasks and other duties as required

Position Requirements:
• High school diploma plus a 1 year trade program
• A minimum of 6 months of experience

Decision Making:
• Determines if it is appropriate to remove product from the press
• Determines if building requires external maintenance

Responsibility for Work of Others:
There are no positions that report directly to this position

Communications:
Internal:
• Sheet Fed Press Operator for assistance with machinery
• Production Manager to receive direction and guidance
• Pre Press Operator for assistance
• Bindery regarding bindery issues

External:
• Suppliers regarding picking up supplies

Effort:
• Moderate - constant travel, driving van, lifting of boxes up to 50 pounds

Working Conditions:
• Constant deadlines regarding delivery deadlines for a newspaper
