POSITION: Print Sales Consultant
REPORTS TO: Production Manager/President
NAME: Ron Demone / Lynn Hennigar
Position Summary:
Responsible for the sales of commercial printing to new and existing clients while ensuring that the finished product meets client specifications and internal quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Manages client base by selling printing to clients while providing customer service through excellent relationships and rapport
2. Increases company profitability selling printing products at optimum levels
3. Builds and develop relationships with potential customers in order to generate new growth and income and build and develop the sales territory
4. Communicate to client base regarding printing options, products and processes available through Lighthouse and promoting the value added products and services available
5. Works with external groups and committees to build successful relationships within the community
6. Ensures accounts receivable is in good standing by following up as required
7. Completes that job docket with the details of the printing projects
8. Works with the graphic designers and production to ensure the details in the printing job are developed and presented as intended by the client.
9. Provides proofs as required to the customers prior to going to print.
10. Approves the proofs and provides the direction to begin a printing process.
11. Ensures the appropriate paper stock is used for a particular job or is ordered.
12. Provides assistance and training with letterpress operation as required.
Position Requirements:
• Diploma in Sales, Marketing or Business from a recognized Community College or University
• Minimum of 2 years of sales and/or marketing experience
Decision Making:
• Determines if the resources are available to complete a job
• Determines if files supplied by customers are able to be used
• Determine the best selling strategy to be used to enhance revenue either direct sales in house or on the road
• Determines the appropriate pricing for a client and whether discounts can be considered and whether printing must be prepaid
• Determines if a job should be reprinted
Responsibility for Work of Others:
There are no positions that report directly to this position
Communications:
Internal:
• Production Manager regarding press scheduling, stock supply and details of projects
• Graphic Designers and Production regarding coordinating of printing
• Front office staff to provide information on visiting clients and messages
• Accounting Staff regarding client payments
External:
• Customers regarding sales, maintenance, service and building relationships
• Business Accounts Managers to coordinate details on account payment
• Suppliers to place orders for jobs that Lighthouse cannot produce
Effort:
• Minimal - sitting at a desk, walking around the building or occasional lifting of a small box up to 25 pounds
• Driving a vehicle and visiting clients
Working Conditions:
• Emotionally charged situations due to the deadlines regarding printing assignments |
