Lunenburg Sessions features songwriters' circle The Lunenburg Sessions Society will feature a trio of talented local musicians in a songwriters' circle at the third-floor auditorium of historic Lunenburg Academy, November 17 beginning at 7:30 p.m.
Nick Jeffrey, Kristen Murray and Gus Webb will present an evening of original music in a workshop-type setting. Mr. Jeffrey, a native Nova Scotian who plays a variety of instruments, began performing at an early age. He enjoys pushing the folk and rock boundaries, dipping into forms such as reggae, blues and bluegrass, while remaining true to his Maritime individuality. Ms Murray, who hails from Campbellton, New Brunswick began experimenting with numerous instruments and styles at an early age before settling on the acoustic guitar. She has honed her talents at various local open mike events and has also played such venues as the Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, the LaHave Folk Festival and the Little River Folk Festival. An alumnus of Lunenburg Academy, Mr. Webb possesses eclectic musical interests and tastes. He has compiled a long and impressive resumé as a keyboardist, both as accompanist and headliner and has also sung in numerous choirs, played clarinet in several concert bands and served as rehearsal accompanist for Maritime Concert Opera productions.
