COUNTY - The Municipality of Lunenburg's tourism website has been named among the top 50 website designs in Canada by Web50.ca.

Created by Headspace Design of Halifax, judges said the site had an "attractive look … easy navigation. … up-to-date event calendar … great site overall."

The $13,000 website included a branding with the adoption of a birdhouse as its symbol and shortened name, "Lunenburg Region."

Web50 is made up of Canadian creative designers, marketing managers and on-line media buyers. Its mandate is to showcase good website design for Canadian companies or by Canadian designers.
