Citizens asked to clear hydrants BRIDGEWATER - It's not a pussy cat or a puppy dog but Bridgewater wants its citizens to adopt a fire hydrant.
The town wants people to aid public works in keeping snow clear from hydrants near their homes in the name of citizen and property safety. "I know there are citizens who will do that," Mayor Carroll Publicover said. "We've got a very caring community out there." Municipalities in other jurisdictions post similar requests when resources are stretched during storms. posted on 01/26/10 |
