Sunny Oasis Tanning & Hair Studio celebrates grand opening

by Patrick Hirtle

Angie Wentzell and the staff at Sunny Oasis Tanning & Hair Studio are looking forward to welcoming you to their special grand-opening week, culminating on February 7.
Make no mistake, co-owners Mark Higney and Angie Wentzell are proud that they have something different and special to offer at Sunny Oasis Tanning & Hair Studio.

First, there's the matter of sheer convenience. Conveniently located in downtown Bridgewater, Sunny Oasis has dual entrances - a front-facing entry on King Street and a rear entry with plenty of private parking accessible from Dufferin Street.

"Our location is central," Mr. Higney said, "and we've kind of got the best of both worlds."

Sunny Oasis Tanning & Hair Studio, he said, is all about making an enhanced tanning and beauty experience easily accessible for clients.

But it doesn't stop there, Mr. Higney added - inside is a dynamic array of products and equipment to meet all your tanning and beauty needs.

"We do tanning, hair and we do some esthetics, but we're still growing," Mr. Higney said.

"We have four lie-down beds and one stand-up bed and we do stuff a little different than the competition," he continued.

"I think we've done that in the look of the salon and the products that we carry. We have a contemporary, upscale look, which makes you feel like it's a little more classy," Mr. Higney explained.

"We also have more products - we're giving the consumer more of what they want. We sell tanning lotions and moisturizers and after-tans and SPF lotions for outdoors - we've got the full line of products the whole way through, and that was our goal from the start," he said. "We're trying to keep innovative."

While Sunny Oasis opened its doors to the public in November, it will be officially rolling out the red carpet for a wonderful grand opening during February.

"We're having a grand opening week, during the first week of February," Mr. Higney explained. "But our big day is February 7 - we're going to have free tanning all day and extra specials."

The six-member staff, he added, are looking forward to welcoming clients, potential clients and those who are just curious about the Sunny Oasis experience.
