Young ReadersI'm going to call your mother Andy Anaconda loved to swing through the trees. To watch Andy Anaconda swing his body back, do a flip in the air, grab a branch with his tail while his head hung down, certainly was the talk of the community.
Most snakes that watched Andy Anaconda thought that he had taken a leave of his senses. The degree of difficulty was a 10 out of 10, but Andy Anaconda made it look like everyone should be able to do it. "It's all in the tail action," Andy Anaconda would tell others. "You have to grip your tail just right around the branch, or you'll fall." When asked what he did all day, Andy Anaconda would say "Hang around" and he was right. On this particular day, Andy Anaconda was "hanging around" as he swung from one branch to another. Iggy Eagle, who was half asleep and half awake, never saw Andy Anaconda coming until he opened his eyes to be face to face with the anaconda. Iggy Eagle fainted! The surprise was too much and he landed beak down on the branch. "Hey, you all right?" asked the anaconda. There was a sound from the eagle. Andy Anaconda coiled himself onto the branch and turned his head to look at the eagle who was motionless. "Is Iggy Eagle all right?" asked Ernie Eagle, sitting on another branch. "Please wake up," said Andy Anaconda, prodding the eagle's back. He felt terrible about the whole situation. He never meant to cause any harm. advertisement "You better call his mother or 911," suggested Ernie Eagle. "You do it," suggested Andy Anaconda, seeing that Ernie Eagle had a cellular phone in his vest pocket. "I don't have any fingers to dial!" "I'll dial the number, but you speak to his mother," said Ernie Eagle. "She will be very upset with you." Ernie Eagle dialed the number and Iggy Eagle's mother came on the line. Immediately Ernie Eagle passed the phone to Andy Anaconda who told Iggy Eagle's mother what was wrong. She said she would fly over right away. "Ooooh!" moaned Iggy Eagle, stirring, and seeing the anaconda, promptly fainted again. "Iggy Eagle's mother arrived, fussed over Iggy Eagle and scolded Andy Anaconda for scaring her son. "I'm going to call your mother!" she warned, taking Iggy Eagle home. Andy Anaconda blinked his eyes twice and smiled. His mother didn't have a phone, because they had no fingers to dial.
