Renegades and Image Design meet this week with first place possibly on the line It was another exciting week on the local softball diamonds on May 28 in the Bridgewater and Area Mixed Softball League.
At the MARC on Field 1, the Lighthouse Media Group Devils and Boston Pizza Sociables split their contests, each taking a game. Bridgewater Insurance did the same in their tilt with Charlie's Pizza, each team taking a game. Image Design took a pair of games from Northfield Home Heating and so, too, did the Renegades, sweeping both contests with the Oickle's Enviro Depot Naturals. Meanwhile, the Misfits won and tied against Bowlarama. And, in the game of the night, the Freaks won the first game and tied the second with Superior Rain Gutter. The results did little to help free up the log jam in league standings after three weeks of play. The Renegades sit atop the league with a perfect 6-0 record, good for 12 points. The Image Design Braves and the Freaks are knotted in second place, each with 5-0-1 records. Superior Rain Gutter sits alone in fourth with eight points, while Boston Pizza, Bridgewater Insurance and Charlie's Pizza are tied for fifth with 3-3 records. Lighthouse Media Group and Joudrey's Automotive Misfits are tied for eighth with four points apiece. Bowlarama, at 1-4-1, sits alone in 10th place, while Oickle's Enviro Depot (11th) and Northfield Home Heating (12th) round out the standings. advertisement Coming up on June 11, Michelin Field will see a clash of two teams out of the gate in fine fashion, as the Renegades will take on Image Design. At LaHave Street Field, Lighthouse Media Group will host Charlie's Pizza. In Mahone Bay, the Boston Pizza Sociables will welcome Superior Rain Gutter. Meanwhile, at the MARC in Dayspring, on Field 1, Oickle's Enviro Depot Naturals will host Northfield Home Heating; on Field 2, Joudrey's Automotive Misfits will welcome Bridgewater Insurance; and, on Field 3, Bowlarama will visit with the Freaks.
