'Walk in Light' with Andrew White Guitarist, songwriter and arranger Andrew White will share his wide range of music including blues, reggae and folk at the Chester Playhouse on September 11 at 8 p.m.
Mr. White is a humble and gifted musician whose finger-style guitar work is technically brilliant yet it possesses a highly melodic structure. He is one of the few who combines international-class guitar playing with skilfully crafted and beautiful songs. Mr. White recently released his 12th album, "Walk in Light," recorded by Candyrat Records. It shows his versatility while being his most ambitious album to date. "Andrew is a great storyteller," said Rob Poland, founder of Candyrat Records. "He draws you into his music with lyrics that are both meaningful and at times, deeply personal. In 'Walk in Light,' you walk in Andrew's shoes for a moment and come out on the other side better for it." Mr. White began his career busking on the streets of Auckland, New Zealand, and in 1984 released his first album, "Conversations." posted on 09/07/10 |
