Kudos to Senator Moore I read the interview with Senator Wilfred Moore regarding the Bluenose trust in the August 31 issue.
I am not of his political ilk, but I do feel that he was unable to speak frankly about the motivation to keep the trust private. I think he was operating in a typically Lunenburg fashion, in wanting an efficient, financially responsible, sustainable source of funds to keep Bluenose sailing. I think we all know what will happen when the government takes over the management. The Bluenose store is ingenious in its use of the Bluenose legend to help supply the funds and employ people in Lunenburg. We need more people who think like Senator Moore in this world.
