Spending weekends in jail A South Brookfield man is spending weekends in jail after admitting he failed the breathalyser. Danny Blaine Lewis, 41, was sentenced to serve 30 days in custody on an intermittent basis January 4 after he entered a guilty plea to a charge from October 2, 2009. Mr. Lewis was charged after he drove an SUV in Cookville after drinking. In addition to the jail time, he was ordered to pay a $50 victim fine surcharge and spend a year on probation. During that time, he must pay $559.78 restitution and take counselling as directed. He lost his licence for two years. posted on 01/11/11 |
