Men fined for theft
Cecil Frank Bowers, 53, of Harrietsfield and Justin Philip Carvery, 27, of Spryfield were each fined $100 May 10 on charges of theft. They committed the crime in Bridgewater December 4.
Suspended sentences for assault
Michael Wade Corkum, 35, of Pleasantville received a one-year suspended sentence May 11 on a charge of assault committed November 11 in Oakhill.
Glen Cecil Hardy, 53, of Hebbs Cross received a one-year suspended sentence May 13 for an assault committed in Hebbs Cross November 26. He was also fined $160 for having a firearm carelessly stored on the same date.
Didn't show for court
Mary Ann Hanhams, 35, of Lunenburg was fined $165 May 11 for failing to appear for court as ordered January 11.
Timothy Gerard Ritcey, 35, of Pleasantville was also fined $165 for failing to show up for court as directed January 8.
Man fined for bad night
Kenneth Scott Savory, 22, of Lower Branch was fined a total of $1,000 May 12 after pleading guilty to charges of causing a disturbance, obstructing a police officer and failing to show up for court. Mr. Savory was arrested June 19 because he was disturbing the peace by shouting obscenities from a Bridgewater rooftop. He resisted arrest and was eventually subdued and placed in a police car. His case was set for trial on December 8, but Mr. Savory didn't show up. It was later adjourned until May 11, but he didn't appear that day either. In court Wednesday, he was fined $250 for each offence.
