When things don't add up

 When trying to reconcile a financial statement or balance a ledger, have you ever noticed that sometimes the figures don't add up? What do you do? Some might ignore the obvious discrepancy, but it would be to their peril. At the end of the day, do we not want things to make sense? Do we not desire a balanced equation?

 Today there is much in our society that does not add up. There is a tremendous outcry from the animal rights activists when baby seals are harvested, but deathly silence when human babies are aborted. The cry from the public is for increased protection and safety, while people line up for any number of extreme, life-threatening, sporting events.

 We talk of "recreational" drug usage. Since when did drugs become a part of healthy recreation?

 Today we have more information and education for our young people regarding "safe sex" than ever before, and yet, we have increased pregnancy, increased abortion and increased venereal disease. We urge our young people to demonstrate responsible behaviour and then model anything but on our television screens.

 We accept the unnatural as natural, the abnormal as normal, the future as inevitable. For the wicked to prosper a good man must but be silent. It's about time those who still recognize the difference between a human and an animal speak up. It's about time those who still acknowledge the difference between a man and a woman speak up. It's about time the myth of "safe sex" is exposed for what it is, an attempt to "have your cake and eat it too!" Life without consequence.

 Let us shed this deceitful cloak of "political correctness" and simply state the obvious! What was once marginal is now mainstream. What was once criminal is now legal. What was once wrong is now right. It seems we've lost our way as a society and sorely need to rethink the path we've chosen. A world without God is a world without hope.

 Isaiah 5:20. Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! 21. Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!
