‘Karissa Bears’ to be removed
posted on 02/27/08
The hundreds of teddy bears, trinkets and cards left alongside the road in a makeshift memorial for Karissa Boudreau will soon be removed.
A sign left on the property which people continue to visit to pay their respects to the 12-year-old girl who was murdered warns the items will be removed over the next few days.
The sign indicates that all cards, photos and notes will be placed in a book and all trinkets will be cleaned and boxed. The items will be given to Karissa's family.
The hundreds of stuffed animals now known as "Karissa Bears" will also be removed and cleaned. The plan is to give the bears to children who have been in traumatic situations.<- go back to SouthShoreNow.ca
