Oak Island treasure hunters received treasure trove license

posted on 07/16/10

After a two-year wait Dan Blankenship and his partners have received a treasure trove license from the provincial government.

The license is good until December 31, at which point no further treasure trove licenses will be granted in the province of Nova Scotia.

Sometime thereafter the province has promised to introduce the Oak Island Act designed to specifically deal with the famed island.

No details of the proposed act have yet to be released.
