It takes a special type of person to stand up for what he thinks is right, especially when it means going against friends and neighbours. Doug George is a proud Canadian and true supporter of the troops but he couldn’t bring himself to take part in the recent Red Rally. Instead, he found himself on the opposite side of the fence, standing with the Council of Canadians' silent vigil in opposition to the war in Afghanistan.
