When the tsunami hit in 2004, it was a wave that obliterated Pam Porodo’s life as she knew it. A Canadian businesswoman, living comfortably in Sri Lanka in semi-retirement with her husband, Pam suddenly found herself in a sea of desperate people. She and her husband poured most of their retirement savings into a rescue effort. Now they are back at work, running the Fairview Inn in Bridgewater and a life-saving charity in Sri Lanka.
