Welcome to southshorenow.ca’s resource centre for everything you need to know about sustainable living. We’re fortunate to live in an era in which an unprecedented emphasis has been put on the future of our planet and the human race’s role in maintaining it. Our environmentally aware culture has begun to grow beyond the traditional “use it and trash it” attitudes of the past and, instead, we’ve begun looking for ways to make a positive impact upon the environment in which we live. Phrases such as “reduce, reuse, recycle” and “carbon footprint” have become part of the common lexicon, as we each look for ways to make our own existence a little more eco-friendly. With that in mind, we’ve launched the SOGreen Community initiative here at southshorenow.ca, and we hope it’s something that you’ll contribute to by sending us your photos for our green gallery, green video clips, hints and tips and joining our SOGreen discussion forum. It takes all kinds to make a community and it takes even more to make a viable sustainability plan for a community to embrace.
